苏州大学国际青年学者东吴论坛旨在汇聚一批海外不同学术背景的高层次人才，聚焦国际学术前沿和学科热点，通过学术报告和深度研讨，开拓视野，推进学科交叉与学术创新。我们诚挚邀请全球青年英才携手苏州大学申报国家海外引才项目。

I. About the Forum

The Dongwu Forum for International Young Scholars aims to attract and encourage high-level talents with diverse academic backgrounds from overseas. It focuses on international academic frontiers and hot topics, and seeks to broaden horizons, promote interdisciplinary collaboration and academic innovation through academic seminar and in-depth discussions. We sincerely invite outstanding young talents around the world to join us in applying for national overseas talent programs.

基本条件：在海外著名高校、研究机构担任相当于副教授及以上职务、具有较高科研水平和较强科技创新能力，或者在国际知名企业担任高级职务的专业技术人才；或在学术前沿领域取得国内外公认的高水平原创性研究成果，已达到国家级领军人才学术水平。

Position: Distinguished Professor(Leading Talent)

Requirements: Those holding positions equivalent to associate professor or above at renowned overseas universities or research institutions, with high-level research capabilities and strong technological innovation capabilities; or those holding senior positions at internationally well-known enterprises;or those who have achieved high-level original research results recognized at home and abroad in cutting-edge academic fields, and have reached the academic level of national-level leading talents.

特聘教授（拔尖人才）

基本条件：在海外著名高校、研究机构担任副教授、助理教授或相当职务者；或在学术前沿领域取得具有重要学术影响力的标志性研究成果，已达到国家级青年人才学术水平。

Position: Distinguished Professor (Outstanding Talent)

Requirements: Those who hold the position of associate professor, assistant professor, or an equivalent position at renowned overseas universities or research institutions; or those who have achieved landmark research results with significant academic influence in cutting-edge academic fields and have reached the academic level of national-level young talents.

特聘教授（精英人才）

基本条件：在海外著名高校、研究机构担任助理教授或相当职务者；或在学术前沿领域取得具有较大学术影响力的标志性研究成果，具有较强的学术潜力；有发展成为国家级青年人才的能力和潜力，具备协助所在领域提升国内学术地位和影响力的能力。

Position: Distinguished Professor (Elite Talent)

Requirements: Those who hold the position of assistant professor or an equivalent position at renowned overseas universities or research institutions; or those who have achieved landmark research results with considerable academic influence in cutting-edge academic fields and possess strong academic potential; those who have the ability and potential to develop into national-level young talents, and have the capability to assist in enhancing the domestic academic status and influence of their respective fields.

青年特聘教授

基本条件：具有海内外高水平大学、研究机构博士后科研经历；在所在学科领域取得重要标志性成果，已具备独立开展科学研究的能力和水平。

Position: Young Distinguished Professor

　  Requirements: Those with postdoctoral research experience at high-level universities or research institutions at home and abroad; those who have achieved important landmark results in their respective disciplinary fields and have already acquired the ability and competence to conduct independent scientific research.

IV. National Sciences Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (overseas)

基本条件

具有博士学位，研究方向主要为自然科学、工程技术等，学术成果突出，年龄一般不超过40周岁（1986年1月1日后出生）。在海外高校、科研机构、企业研发机构获得正式教学或者科研职位，且具有连续36个月以上工作经历；在海外取得博士学位且业绩特别突出的，可适当放宽工作年限要求。

Requirements:

Hold a doctoral degree, with research focusing on natural sciences, engineering and technology, etc.; have outstanding academic achievements; and in general be under 40 years old (born on or after January 1st, 1986).

Have obtained a formal teaching or research position at overseas universities, scientific research institutions, or corporate R&D institutions, with a continuous work experience of more than 36 months; for those who obtained a doctoral degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the requirement for work experience may be appropriately relaxed.

聘任岗位

依托我校申报海外优青项目入选者，学校将以特聘教授（拔尖人才）予以支持聘用。

Position:

For those who are selected through the application for the National Overseas Excellent Young Scholars Program in the name of Soochow University, the university will appoint them as Distinguished Professors (Outstanding Talent).

具体待遇

①薪酬待遇：首聘期提供全球范围内极具竞争力的待遇，另加绩效奖励，上不封顶；特别优秀者一人一议。

②安家（个人）补贴：学校购房补贴+国家/省/市配套资助全额发放+两年免费周转公寓+入职差旅补贴。

③科研经费：学校按1:1比例配套（其中，实验类理科、工科、医科直接按照顶格配套）+苏州市创新领军人才项目科研经费配套。

●依托我校苏州医学院申报并入选者，苏州医学院将提供安家（个人）补贴、科研经费叠加支持。

●依托我校附属医院（苏州大学附属第一医院、苏州大学附属第二医院、苏州大学附属儿童医院、苏州大学附属第四医院）申报并入选者，附属医院将提供极具竞争力的薪酬待遇、安家补贴及科研经费。

Pay and Benefits:

① Remuneration: During the initial appointment period, a globally competitive remuneration package will be provided, plus performance bonuses without cap; for candidates with exceptional qualifications, the remuneration will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

② Relocation (Personal) Subsidies: University housing purchase subsidy + full disbursement of supporting funds from the state/province/city + free transitional apartment for two years + relocation travel subsidy.

③ Research Funds: The university will provide matching funds at a 1:1 ratio (among which, experimental-based disciplines including science, engineering, and medicine will receive matching funds at the maximum allowable standard) + matching research funds from Suzhou’s Leading Talents of Innovation Program.

· For those who are selected in the name of Soochow University’s School of Medicine, the School of Medicine will provide additional (stacked) support for relocation (personal) subsidies and research funds.

· For those who are selected in the name of Soochow University’s affiliated hospitals (The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, The Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, Soochow University Affiliated Children’s Hospital, The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University), the affiliated hospitals will offer highly competitive remuneration packages, relocation subsidies, and research funds.

工作条件

①实验空间：提供不低于150平的办公及实验室用房。

②团队建设：学校全力支持组建创新团队，支持招聘科研助手，其中博士后招收人数不限。

③招生指标：研究生招生指标予以政策性倾斜，首聘期内学校层面保证每年1个博士生名额及不低于2个硕士生名额。学院层面根据实际名额可另行支持。

Working Conditions

①Lab Space: Office and lab for experiment not smaller than 150 square meters

②Research Team: The university will give full support for establishing research groups, with priority for recruiting lecturers, post-docs and research fellows. No limit in number of post-doctoral researchers recruited.

③Enrollment Target: the university will give high priority to recruiting students by successful candidates. Every year, 1 PhD student and at least 2 masters students can be recruited. Additional support can be provided by schools according to actual needs.

（一）地方支持

优先支持申报各类人才项目，入选者根据相关规定享受叠加待遇。

Priority application for various talent programs, selected candidates can enjoy stacked-up benefits according to relevant regulations.

备注：地方补贴具体以当年度政策为准。

（二）其他配套服务

1.对全职引进的优秀人才，除提供上述支持措施外，学校还将按照相关政策落实事业编制，按省市相关规定缴纳各类社会保险。申请者如为外籍人士，按照省、市和学校有关规定执行。

2.学校为特聘教授及以上人才提供充足的办公实验室用房，支持组建创新团队，优先支持招聘青年教师、博士后及专职科研人员，其中博士后招收人数不限；研究生招生指标予以政策性倾斜；提供过渡性人才公寓。

Other Supports

1. For outstanding talents recruited on a full-time basis, in addition to the aforementioned support, the university will also secure career-based establishment (for public institutions) in accordance with relevant policies and pay various social insurance premiums in compliance with the regulations of the province and city. For foreign applicants, the recruitment and related benefits will be implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of the province, city, and the university.

2. The university will provide sufficient office and laboratory spaces for talents holding the position of Distinguished Professor or above, support them in establishing innovative teams, and give priority to supporting the recruitment of young teachers, postdoctoral researchers, and full-time research staff (with no limit on the number of postdoctoral researchers recruited). In addition, preferential policies will be applied to the allocation of graduate enrollment quotas, and transitional talent apartments will be provided.

六、交通住宿

参会学者收到正式邀请函后自订机票或车票，我校将按相关政策予以实报实销（具体报销事宜详见报销说明），论坛期间食宿由学校统一安排。

VI. Transportation and Accommodation

After receiving the official invitation letter, participants shall book their own flight or train tickets. Our university will reimburse the expenses incurred in accordance with relevant policies (for specific details, please refer to the reimbursement instructions). Accommodation and meals during the forum will be uniformly arranged by the university.

IX. About Soochow University

The city of Suzhou has been known as the “heaven on earth” for centuries. Located and deeply rooted in this historical and cultural city and founded 125 years ago, Soochow University is a Key National “Project 211” university, and one of the first institutions selected for “Plan 2011” in China. It is listed into “Double First-Class” Initiative jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. It is also a provincial key comprehensive university sponsored by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.

X. About Suzhou

Located in East China, Suzhou is a historical and cultural city, as well as an important national transportation hub. It covers a total area of 8657.32 square kilometers, administering five districts (Wujiang, Wuzhong, Xiangcheng, Gusu, Huqiu) and Suzhou Industrial Park, and exercising jurisdiction over four county-level cities (Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Taicang, Kunshan) on behalf of the province. By the end of 2024, the city had a registered population of 7.953 million and a permanent population of 12.987 million.

Suzhou is a major industrial city in China and even the world, with a complete manufacturing industrial chain and supply chain. In 2024, the city achieved a regional GDP of RMB 2.67 trillion, a total industrial output value of RMB 4.7 trillion for enterprises above designated size, and a total import and export volume of RMB 2.62 trillion. The total number of listed enterprises reached 278, and 178 Fortune 500 companies have invested in Suzhou. Three industries, including electronic information, equipment manufacturing, and advanced materials, each exceeded a trillion-yuan scale. The city is home to 6 national advanced manufacturing clusters, including nano-new materials, biomedicine and high-end medical devices, high-end textiles, and high-end scientific instruments, as well as 7 global Lighthouse Factories. Up to now, the number of national specialized and sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprises has exceeded 800.

Suzhou has nurtured numerous talents throughout the history. It has fostered 46 literary zhuangyuan (Number One in imperial examinations)and 5 martial zhuangyuan, and more than 100 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, making it a renowned “hometown of zhuangyuan” and “city of academicians”.
